Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant

Pay: $50.00/hour

Duration: 3 month contract (with the possibility of extension)

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40hrs/week

Location: REMOTE

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The ideal candidate should be equipped with knowledge of fixed assets (facilities, equipment) and lease accounting processes (building, automotive fleet, office equipment). This role is heavily involved in the quarter/year-end close process as well as the annual plan/budget for these areas. Ideal candidate will be adept at working cross-functionally with internal teams (Real Estate, FP&A, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounting Policy, Shared Services, etc.) and external teams (3rd party facilities management). The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating internal controls and processes, building desktop-level procedure documentation, and proposing efficiency improvements/changes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Quarter/Year-end journal entries (accruals and reclasses)
• Source system to general ledger reconciliations
• Asset and accumulated depreciation roll-forwards
• Annual plan/budget duties related to Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting (expenses, drivers)
• Analysis/Reporting of actual vs. budget to identify trends/issues
• Transparent and frequent communication with key stakeholders
• Supporting any carryover transitions to SAP systems
• Coding and/or purchase order approval workflows in Ariba
• Quarter-end documentation/testing/certification of internal controls

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of fixed asset and lease accounting background/knowledge (monthly/quarterly close)
• Fixed assets: capital, depreciation, assets under construction, disposals/write-offs
• Lease accounting: home office facilities, group branch offices; ASC 842 lease accounting standard adoption
• Technical knowledge of balance sheet and income statement interactions
• Experience and knowledge of intercompany/subsidiaries (journal entries)
• SAP ERP system experience (Fixed Asset module, SAC- budget, AO reporting, Fiori apps)
• Costar system experience (Lease accounting)
• Ability to think critically and propose solutions to issues
• Adeptness at flexing between being a strong collaborator and working independently to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
