Internal Audit Analyst II Contract

A global fintech company is seeking an Internal Audit Analyst II to join their team in San Diego!  This position will plan and execute audit work steps, gain agreement on root cause of issues and appropriate corrective actions with the business while maintaining positive relationships.  Will ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

Duties:

• Identify process risks and associated internal controls, and evaluate effectiveness of those controls.
• Understands audit best practices and enhances the organization’s control environment and drive accountability on internal controls.
• Partner cross-functionally to understand requirements and evaluates design and operating effectiveness of controls, and provides recommendations as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization to influence and foster a risk and control mindset.
• Document audit procedures ensuring audit methodology is consistently followed and conclusions are appropriately reached.
• Apply professional judgment when performing audits.
• Communicate audit findings, and discuss findings with various internal partners

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of audit experience; senior auditor/auditor-in-charge
• Experience with performing process and control reviews, identify control gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to partner across organizational boundaries
• Adapt quickly and appropriately to changes
• Ability to work on multiple audits/projects at the same time
• Drives for progress on unresolved issues and actions
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment; utilize professional judgment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Big 4 experience or at an Accounting firm is a plus

Rate/Salary: $40.00-50.00/hr DOE
