Senior Financial Accounting Analyst Contract

Title: Sr. Financial Accounting Analyst (Real Estate and Lease Accounting)

Location: Fully Remote

Pay Rate: $90-102/hour

Contract through October 2023 with a potential extension or conversion

The Real Estate and Lease Accounting department has implemented the new lease accounting guidance for the entire company and centralized global accounting for leases. The team assists with accounting for Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing (CPGP), specifically supporting the brick and mortar and ecommerce retail lines of business. This position will be integral in providing technical accounting expertise and high-quality deliverables related to lease accounting, real estate transactions, and CPGP.

These roles can be fully remote, but EST hours

Duties:

• Responsible for the day to day general ledger accounting and reporting activities for Corporate Real Estate

• Responsible for the preparation and review of variance analysis for close related to areas under our purview

• Evaluate contracts to determine appropriate ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16 accounting treatment

• Review of ASC 842 amortization schedule calculations for leases

• Preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations

• Provide analytical support to the Finance teams for annual AOP and quarterly forecast processes

• Preparation of 10K/10Q related reporting and quarterly deliverables

• Technical research and brainstorming for ways to solve issues and address business unit inquiries

• SOX, governmental, audit, and tax compliance tasks

Requirements:

• Public Accounting Experience
• SAP Experience
• ASC 842 lease accounting experience needed
• BA/BS Accounting, Finance, or similar
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting work experience
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, specifically)

Rate/Salary: $90-102/hour
