Documentation Specialist Contract

The Documentation Specialist will lead change controls for new and sustaining projects and manage product release configurations.

They are responsible for analyzing and processing engineering change orders with cross-functional teams for change originators.

Major Job Functions:

• Process cross-functional change orders (Log, review, analyze, and implement) in a timely expeditious manner.
• Create part numbers, assembly numbers, and BOMs, including setting up and ensuring the accuracy of item attributes in the MRP system.
• Manage updates and new entries in JD Edwards MRP system, including for BOMs, Item Master, Item Branches, Item Cross-References, and Design and document revisions
• Proofread and edit completed documents, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, adherence to appropriate formatting, and proper signatures.
• Manage the document approval process, including approval signatures.
• Prepare and release technical documents.
• Review and maintain various documents such as drawings and specifications by document control procedures.
• Maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration.
• Prioritize and manage work requests in an organized and timely manner. 
• Provide support services in response to requests for information and/or documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional members, and lead cross-functional stakeholders in resolving any issues.

• High School Diploma, preferably a post-secondary degree (Associate or preferably Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in document control role or equivalent.
• I strongly prefer JD Edwards for a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with an ERP/MRP system.
• Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
