Job Title: Benefits Manager

Location: Dulles, VA 20166

Duration: Till Oct 31, 2022 

Description/Comment:   

• Manage the day to day administration of Time Off and Leave of Absence program of a multi-state employer which includes administration of Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, FMLA, Paid Family and Medical Leave, Military, Parental Leave, Paid Sick Leave, Bereavement etc. while ensuring compliance with all state and federal law.
• Manage the day to day administration of the reasonable Accommodation program.
• Responds to complex LOA and Reasonable Accommodation requests and issues that require attention to detail and timely responses.
• Ensures efficient support of the operational transactions related to ADA Accommodations and leaves of absence company policies and procedures.
• Serve as internal contact for claims issues/inquiries to the point of resolution.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave and accommodation programs.
• Reviews and analyzes program utilization. Develops, generates and presents reports to analyze leave data and trends.
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Legal, Payroll and vendors.
• Ensures vendor adheres to established plans, meets agreed upon service levels and promptly addresses any leave issues that may arise.
• Provide Leave of Absence guidance and direction to employees, HR Business Partners, Managers and Payroll.
• Responsible for managing employees requests for ADA accommodations and facilitating interactive discussions with employees.
• Provide guidance to employees, managers and HR on complex aspects of reasonable accommodation requests.
• Maintain highly confidential employee Personal Health Information and files. Ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Perform data reconciliation and audits to ensure accurate leave processing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Details:

• Must Have: Bachelor’s degree

• Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in complex leaves management required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing ADA accommodations.
• Strong Knowledge of State and Federal Laws, HR and Benefits.
• Strong Knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, USERRA, HIPAA, and requirements of various states.
• ​​Strong communications skills and ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through processes, identify and implement process improvements and resolve complex situations
• Proven team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go “above and beyond” to support key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgment and discretion is critical.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Be able to multi-task and drive multiple projects concurrently
• Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Workday experience a plus

Rate/Salary:
