What are we looking for in our Podcast Playlist Curator - Catalog Specialist II?

Russell Tobin/Pride Global is seeking a skilled logistics professional to work at our client's location as a Podcast Playlist Curator. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the ecommerce industry. The position is a 11-month contract role that could be extended or go permanent for the right candidate.

Job Title:  Podcast Playlist Curator.

Pay: $29.13/hour

Duration: 11-month contract w/ possibility of extension

Location: Remote (Candidate should be in EST or comfortable working in EST.)

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the role is to curate and publish daily podcast playlists in the Music app. Associate is responsible for segment selection and sequencing of a twice-daily playlist. Strong editorial judgement is required.

• Individual should have familiarity with podcasting medium, and of current events and popular culture (US-centric). A background in audio journalism or news/talk programming is preferred.

• Associate needs to continuously adapt to and learn the new features of various tools and systems and improve on their acumen to identify and improve editorial excerpts and provide stakeholders with relevant feedback.

• The associate will need to adhere to SOP regarding content moderation.

• The associate should be a team player and come up with ideas to improve the editing process.

• The associate will need to often communicate with Programming, Product, and Development staff to report system errors, content blockers, and provide status updates as and when required.

• The employee will be an individual contributor for this role.

• In addition, the associate must be able to pay close attention to minute details, have good communication skills, and a professional demeanor.

• The associate should be a team player and come up with improvement ideas to improve the process.

• Will be required to listen to audio in the majority of the worktime.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a graduate in any stream

• Basic digital audio workspace (DAW) proficiency

• Strong Written and Verbal Communication in English

• The associate will require using of software and /or tools for editing and publishing daily. The tasks will be primarily repetitive in nature and will require the individual to make judgment-based decisions keeping in mind the guidelines provided in the SOP. The individual will also need to be able to raise a flag depending on the situation

• Working knowledge of computers (Basic MS Office related skills)

• Basic analytical and logical reasoning skills

• Perform variety of tasks related to podcast content

• Qualifications necessary for the job

• Communication Skills

• DAW (e.g., Audacity, ProTools) and MS Office.
