Engineers need to have the right skills for performing essential duties and meeting safety and regulatory laws on the job. Engineers must pay careful attention to detail and record this information for coworkers and customers to access so that they can perform their job well.

Mandatory Skills
Employers and professional associations require four years of related experience. Engineering candidates usually acquire experience after completing schooling. However, if an engineering student has worked in a related field during their studies, it may lessen the four-year experience requirement. If a person hasn’t studied at an accredited school of engineering, they may be required to have more than four years of work experience. The accepted experience credentials include one year of master’s degree study and two years, including the master’s degree, for a doctorate. Satisfactory work experience includes being in a supervised role in a major branch of engineering. Advanced skills using company software Proven ability to communicate well in written and verbal communications Design thinking for product inventions and enhancements Motivation and commitment to providing interpersonal customer service Knowing and applying current industry standards and information Soft skills including a positive attitude, flexibility and conflict resolution The ability to solve problems creatively on time Having up-to-date knowledge and technical skills.

Desired Skills
Working knowledge of Apple systems and utilities with the ability and willingness to learn other systems. Significant experience in technical support roles. Ability to prepare accurate, clear, and timely status reports. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Programming and/or application development experience preferred. Jamf Certifications preferred.

Rate/Salary: $45/hr to $50/hr W2
