Software Infrastructure Engineer Contract

Software Infrastructure Engineer – Milton Keynes (occasional travel to London) – 12 months – £675 per day inside IR35 – DV (vetting slot available for non-cleared candidates)

Responsibilities:

• Perform work in accordance with the clients engineering policies, processes and procedures; where authorised, tailoring these to meet the needs of specific circumstances
• Complete tasks to agreed quality, time and cost objectives
• Ensure that managers are informed of progress and immediately communicate risks to quality, schedule or cost.
• Develop infrastructure and design solutions that address the customers needs
• Follow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues
• Create appropriate technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Be responsible for your continued professional development
• Must have Linux experience
• Experience of PaaS (platform as a service) desirable
• Understanding of Kubernetes/ Containerisation needed
• Prior server engineer experience desirable (hardware & software installation)
