Web Content Developer Contract

Title – WordPress Developer

Location – Sacramento, CA/Remote

Role – Part Time(20 Hours/Week)

DESCRIPTION:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites and plugins
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time
• Write clean, well-documented code and ensure best practices are followed
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with WordPress websites and plugins
• Test, update and optimize WordPress websites for accessibility, efficiency and security.
• Provide support to DPW staff to use the created websites and plugins
• Provided content updates in Wordpress, Unison and other CMSes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS       

• Experience as a WordPress Developer, with a portfolio of successful projects
• Strong understanding of WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, templates and best security practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with web standard programming languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with JIRA or something similar
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Google GKE preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION        

• BS degree in computer science or a related field

Rate/Salary: $40-$42/hr
