Accounts Payable Representative Contract NEW

Our client, a well-known automotive company, is looking for a part time Accounts Payable rep to join their team! This opportunity will require working onsite in Medina, MN for 30-32 hours per week. Title: Accounts Payable Rep.
Location: Medina, MN
Pay Rate: $24.65
Assignment Length: 7 months with possibility for extension! 

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3-6 years’ experience in finance, accounts payable required
• Vendor setup and 1099 reporting a plus

• Technology: Excel, AS400, Showcase

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review, set up and maintain vendor’s master files
• Answers both internal and external questions around vendors and vendor setup
• Supports and conducts Vendor Audits and Vendor deactivation processes
• 1099 maintenance and reporting
• Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy
• Provide weekly cash forecast to Treasury Department
• Generate and post weekly payments via check, wire and ACH for the US, Canada and Mexico
• Process payment voids and reissuances as needed
• Responsible for follow up, research and resolution of payment problems
• Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned by Accounts Payable Supervisor

Skills & Knowledge:

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting/Finance required
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required
• Customer Service and Vendor maintenance experience preferred
• Excel experience required
• Proven experience with problem solving and demonstration of critical thinking
• Able to work in fast paced environment and reprioritize tasks with multiple interruptions
• Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with previous experience supporting cross-functional teams

Core Hours:

• Averaging 30-32 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST
