What are we looking for in our Tax Manager?

Exciting Opportunity Alert: Tax Manager in Ballymount, Dublin 22 (5 days per week onsite) 

Our client is a dynamic engineering company, rapidly expanding through winning major infrastructure projects and to support their next phase of growth, they are looking to hire a skilled TAX Manager

Role Overview: Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to take charge of their Irish and European tax functions. This pivotal role involves ensuring tax compliance and strategic tax planning across the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is key to maintaining the company’s adherence to tax legislation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee corporate income tax return compliance, ensuring all tax returns are completed and filed in a timely manner.
• Assist Senior Management with various issues related to global mobility.
• Handle internal and external tax inquiries and audits.
• Assist with the preparation of local and master transfer pricing files.
• Stay abreast of changes in local tax legislation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have a professional tax qualification (AITI/CTA or equivalent); ideally also qualified in accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Post-qualification experience (PQE) in tax, preferably with Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firm, or within a multinational corporation.
• Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit processes, and tax law.
