Electrical Automation Designer Contract NEW

Russell Tobin and Associates is looking for an Automation Designer to join our client’s thriving Engineering firm. This individual will join their staff to design projects in the Industrial, Glass Manufacturing and Water/Waste-Water sector.

This individual will be responsible for designing and drafting automation tasks and working with others such as Engineers and Designers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drafting and design of PLC, HMI, and SCADA based systems.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Engineers and Designers.
• Preform redline corrections-based engineer markups.
• Design and lay-out engineering drawings performing drafting and design as needed.  May work directly with clients in this process.
• May assist in the preparation of studies and does drawing or sketching as required.
• May assist in the preparation of probable construction estimates.     
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding information needed for design. 

Education/Experience

• An associate degree required
• 2-3 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• REVIT and/or Plant 3D experience required.
• Experience with ETAP and/or SKM Power Analysis Software is a plus but not required
