Job Title: Mechanic

Location: Melville, NY 11747

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Work shift: 1^st  shift (Monday – Friday 7am-4pm (flexible))

Job description:

Currently, we are looking for an experienced Machinist supporting assembly high tolerance molding operations (local to Melville, NY) proficient in manual milling, manual lathe, surface grinding, and CNC milling programing and setup. Must have the ability to hold precise tolerances, interpret engineering drawings, and maintain a clean/organized workspace., good planning and strong organization skills along with a strong motivation for success.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a steady professional manner with little or no supervision required.
• Demonstrate the ability to work methodically and meticulously with close tolerance mechanical assemblies.
• High School Diploma, with college or Journeyman’s Certificate a plus.
• Knowledge of Computer/CAD and CAM software (Solidworks and Mastercam Preferred)

Preferred:

Seeking a machinist/plastic injection Mold Maker for its new process innovation center located in Melville, NY. The Machinist/Mold maker will support machining activities associated with R&D work in the plastic molding industry. work from designs to building of prototype molds to low cavitation molds. As we plan strategically, we are looking for innovative, collaborative and experienced individuals to join our team.

The Machinist will be responsible for machine set up and milling /Grinding operations under supervision of a master toolmaker. This is a dynamic research and development facility successful applicant will be required to change priorities rapidly.

Work environment is a brand-new climate controlled spacious facility with state-of-the-art equipment.

Education:

High School Diploma (some college a plus) or Journeyman’s Certificate.

5 machining experience.
