Russell Tobin is seeking a Lateral Attorney Recruiter with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top lateral legal talent for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their hiring needs and partner with them to deliver exceptional candidates. You will sit onsite in our NYC (HQ) or Bernardsville, NJ office.


The Opportunity:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates
  • Identify and attract top lateral legal talent using a variety of channels such as job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Conduct initial screenings with candidates to assess their skills, experience, and fit for open roles
  • Create and post job descriptions for open positions
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute recruiting strategies
  • Manage candidate pipelines and provide regular updates to hiring managers
  • Provide guidance and advice to candidates throughout the recruiting process
  • Participate in networking events and other recruiting activities to build the Russell Tobin brand


Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 
  • 1-3 years of experience in lateral attorney recruiting or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices and techniques
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and candidates

Salary range:

The target salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year plus variable incentives. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
