Recruiting Coordinator Employee Spotlight: Faika Sauveur

Today we’re highlighting our Lead Recruiting Coordinator at Maersk, Faika Sauveur. Find out what she does here at Russell Tobin, how she helps our clients, and hear the advice she has for candidates who are in the job market.  

Tell us about yourself:

I am a proud mother of a single daughter, recently engaged, and currently residing on a military base as my fiancé continues his service in the armed forces. In my free time I love to cook, and I enjoy reading a good book! I am a major homebody and I love to go rucking when the weather permits too.

What is your favorite part about being a Recruiting Coordinator (RC)?

I genuinely love the work that I do. I have enjoyed growing and learning new things like how to improve workflows and processes to improve the experiences of new hires and candidates. 

What makes you feel accomplished as an RC?

I love task-oriented work where I can clearly measure my accomplishments for the week. I also feel accomplished every time that I have successfully helped a new hire get established into the company or help anyone who had any difficulties throughout the process.

What is one tip you would give to a potential candidate?

My main tip to any candidate would be to not be afraid to ask for what you need and deserve right at the beginning. It is always better to know in the beginning than to be disappointed or unhappy later.

What drew you to Russell Tobin?

The support system that Russel Tobin has is unmatched! You never feel alone in any situation. The leaders are phenomenal and always lead you in the direction of growth.

Where do you see yourself in two years?

Within 2 years, I would hope to be managing a group of people to share all of the knowledge that I have acquired throughout my time as an RC. I feel that I have a lot to offer thanks to this project.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?

There is so much more involved in RC than people believe. In addition to admin tasks, you have to also know how to maintain relationships with the multiple people involved in these processes to be able to have a smooth experience all around for both you and the candidate.
