Recruiting Coordinator Employee Spotlight: Parker Pepin

Sep 06, 2023

We’re highlighting our Recruiting Coordinator, Parker Pepin. Find out what he does here at Russell Tobin, how he helps our clients, and hear the advice he has for candidates who are looking for work.

Tell us about yourself

I consider myself to be an animal lover, nature enthusiast, and creative thinker. Living in the Greater Seattle area allows me to flex all those muscles—when I’m not working, I’m spending time outdoors going on walks with my dog Toni, playing tennis, or going for long bike rides.

What is your favorite part about being a Recruiting Coordinator (RC)?

The people I work with are the best part of every day for me. Some I really do see daily, others weekly, but everyone contributes and plays a role in helping me do my job to the best of my ability.

What makes you feel accomplished as an RC?

Nothing makes me feel more accomplished than receiving that thank you the day a candidate gets an offer to join their new team. Often, we’ve been working together for weeks throughout the interviewing process so it’s really rewarding to feel like we’ve accomplished something together.

What is one tip you would give to a potential candidate?

Do research on the companies you’re interested in. Every company has a set of values they take pride in, and as a candidate, so do you. Where do those values intersect and how can you speak to that throughout your process? Understanding the company’s core values will not only help you succeed while interviewing but can also be the distinguishing factor when you’re choosing between similar roles at different companies.

What drew you to Russell Tobin?

It’s very important to me that my employer isn’t just interested in their own bottom line. What drew me to RTA initially was the company’s style of leadership, which seeks to empower personal and professional growth. At RTA, I’m not seen as only a number, but also as a human being who is in the process of growing and becoming more well-rounded.

Where do you see yourself in two years?

Ideally, I’d like to be leading a small team that’s focused on project-based work. I’d love to continue with Cruise, but would also be open to other Embedded Partnerships.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?

As an RC we’re invested in our candidates. We want to see you succeed and despite the neutrality we appear to show, we’re always rooting for you to have great interviews and continue progressing!
